I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had to look at a situation that didn’t turn out the way I had hoped, wanted or dreamed and just been forced to say Amen. Andrae Crouch’s song “Let the Church Say Amen” hits that note right on the head. We say Amen when we get a word from God if we like it or not accounting that it is God’s word and he knows best.
Just about every morning since I was sixteen I’ve always woke up at around 5AM. Allowing time between just me and God to pray, read, and sing his praises is what has sustained me even in the darkest days. I try to use one inspirational song to guide that time that includes scripture and prayer. Today’s post, which has been featured before, is by Andrae Crouch entitled Let the Church Say Amen.
